LickMixeR is a music application that can automatically identify the Beat and Rhythm structure from music signals, and using this information instantly perform novel content based transformations. The transformation itself is driven by an audio time-stretching algorithm which can dynamically modify the speed of a piece of music without altering its pitch.

While time-stretching algorithms have been used in audio production to modify the global tempo of pieces of music (e.g.increase the tempo by 20%) They have yet to be used in combination with any form of automatic rhythmic analysis.
